Our School
|
|
By Tenzin Youdon. Class VII. CST Paonta Sahib
|
|
|
We learn and develop at every stages of our life. When we are infant, we learn to walk and talk with the help of parents and other family members. As we grow-up or place of learning shifts from home to school under the love and care of teachers. In a school we are taught how to live in society, how to behave with others and how to progress in life. Through this process, actual learning of life takes place at school.
I read in Central School for Tibetans, Paonta Sahib. Our school has large magnificient building with a big compound. It has class fro I to XII with five hundred students and fifty six staff members. Our school provides all kinds of facilities to make learning easy and meaningful. We have science laboratory, Library for all, Kiducation for small children, English language lab and computer lab etc.
Besides the beautiful buildings and big play ground, we have double storey hostel for girls and boys. We have four houses namely Jamyang, Chakdor, Songtsen and Gandhi. I belong to Gandhi house. There is also a tuck shop which is run by our school.
Our school excels in both academic performances and co-curricular activities. I am also an active sport girl, too. We have a tall, a well dignified, and understanding principal named Ms Yarphel Ghani lak and a well disciplined and energetic headmistress. Mrs Tsering Youdon. Our teachers are well qualified, trained and caring. They teach us with love and passion. They are our parents for 10 months at the school. We love and admire them.
So, I love my school very much and it is our duty to respect our school. Our school is for us and at the same time, we are for the school.

Educational Value of travelling
|
|
By Dawa Lhamo. Class XI. CST Paonta Sahib
|
|
|
Education derived from experience is the real education. We can acquire a great deal of knowledge from books, But it is only second hand knowledge. By travelling we come into contact with things and people that we wish to know. We see it with our eyes. We feel and understand better than the bookish knowledge. Our knowledge of a distant land gained from numerous text books can never be compared with the information and knowledge that one gain from travelling.
We get experience by travelling to different places and receive vast knowledge. By travelling we not only gain knowledge but broaden our mind. From different places that we travel, we are able to encounter many person of different temperaments, customs, culture and life styles of the different places that we visits.
If you visit historical places, the knowledge gained would become wisdom. Such knowledge is ever lasting and you will not forget it forver.

Nature
|
|
By Ngawang Lhazey, Class VIII, CST P. Sahib
|
|
|
Far away in the east
from the mountain amidst
shines the golden sun
making earth an Eden.
Think! all the living beings
Nature acts like mother's lap
Rain refreshes earth in summer
How wonderful the nature is!
Human are cruel with nature
Behaves inhumanly with nature
making earth ugly as hell
posing immense threat on earth
Think! all the living beings.
Nature brings us true happiness.
But we are destroying nature
How cruel our actions are.
"If we Protect Our Nature
We ca save our future".

Education Speaks
|
|
By Tenzin Dolma, Class IX. CST Paonta Sahib
|
|
|
Being not an object
Still I am a subject
the true way of living.
I always think for their gain,
Still some take me as pain.
But neither I am fairy,
nor am I red cherry.
Through I help all
to achieve their goal,
Still I have been looked down upon
for reason unknown.
I always aim for good
not to produce crude,
but neither I am a fairy
nor am I a ready cherry
At last a message for those
who are ignorant at inner most,
to value and adopt me
and dispel ignorance through me.

where holy Buddhism flourished;
There born a Young boy,
The second highest Spiritual leader.
Namely Gendun Choekyi Nyima.
At the age of Six,

He was kidnapped by the Chinese.
It was such a dreadful era,
Which no Tibetan can forget;
Now, He is Sixteen Years old,
Yet no body knows where He is.
We the Tibetans are fighting peacefully
to release you from the Chinese grip.
The second highest Buddhist Lama
The world's Youngest prisoner.
Let's fight for Him.
Let's pray for His well being.

The Compassionate Soul
|
|
By Jigme Lhundup, Class X, CST Paonta Sahib
|
|
|
A long way of search I began
For the most suitable and exact word.
In appreciation of most precious gem.
And the one to describe.
The grace & dignity his identity possess.
The unlimited hardship that he endures.
By taking charge of all human beings.
Not only humans but all sentient beings.
The love & Compassionate, that he teaches.
The peace & non-violence, that he preaches
All the pains that he had taken.
To awaken the good human sleeping within man.
Alas, all my search went in vain.
As my attempt failed again.
For the truth is that for him.
I never found a word for him.
Still, I'm fortunate to be a follower of him.
I'm fortunate to be devoted to him.
The indispensable guide of all.
Our mentor & our ray of hope.

Dream
|
|
By Kelsang Chophel. Class X. STS Bhuntar
|
|
|
|
The word stems from the Middle English word
Dreme which means, "Joy"
and "Music". A series of images and feelings occuring in a person mind during sleep. This is the defination of Dream. One third of our life is spent sleeping. Every body dreams. I also dream and I remember my fierce watery dream till now. I dreamt of High Mountain peak and on the other side a plateau. I and some people climbing to reach the top. There was a deep valley with river flowing and huge rocks. I could feel the debt of my fearful breadth and moment I was near water ready to swim full of fish the black kind of water and the oozy air touching my skin. I dreamt this kind of dream several times and this kept me in a big confusion. Some people say every symbol in dream represent some thing for you. All you have to do it finding the relation between the symbol of yourself and relate itn to your working life. You will get the message. I feel cold when I think of that dream. May be you can't imagine so well. I saw it by myself. I am the best witness. May be I couldn't describe so well with my words. But till now I could not relate that dream with my working life. May be it could be imprints of my previous life. Really it has been miserable for me since that time. I fear to go near water. I lost my swimming in that dream now I should say due to dream.

Nature of Subjects
|
|
By Tsering Wangmo, Class IX, STS Bhuntar
|
|
|
The subject English is fine.
And the best of mine.
It is full of joy,
Which I enjoy.
Maths is not so tough,
And I haven't enough.
It is not too bad,
But sometimes I go mad.
Tibetan is very much easy,
But my book becomes messy,
it's not so boring,
While reading I start snoring.
Social is so easy,
I sometimes get crazy,
my aim is to learn it.
Science is so interesting,
Which tells us to make things.
It contains Physics, Chemistry & Biology,
Which is like an industry.
All the five subjects are easy,
But we are lazy.

Ode to my mother
|
|
By Rinzin Lhamo, Class X. STS Bhuntar
|
|
|
Far from the milling crowd,
I saw only your amiable face.
I felt a mesmerizing bliss,
When I found my tranquility in you.
So immaculate is your heart,
And so is your love.
You are my aspiration,
And I admire your action.
You wipe all my tears,
And fulfill my longing for happiness.
With me is enjoying whole sky today,
As you reduced all my suffering.
You are merely an angel.
Who taught me to tackle with thorns of life.
Acting as a lighting lamp,
In every dark and dull moment.
Oh! Mom! I dearly love you,
How can I reveal my gratutude?
I can only thank you.
From the core of my heart.

Thought of a life
|
|
By Tenzin Nordon, Class X, STS Bhuntar
|
|
|
What do you think a life is?
End of the birth is death,
End of
the death is birth.
May be this is the real rhythm of life.
Life is maintaining history,
Which is full of mystery.
Today is your experience.
Tomorrow is your suspense.
Life is for sharing
Not for spoiling.
Life is to have good friends
Who show us better trends?
Happiness and sorrow links
To our fate of wings.
Many motivations we have to across.
It depends on you which way to choose
It will be you, who will succeed,
It will be you, who will be defeated.

Monastery is a place where we go to pray and do offerings to the statue of lord Buddha and other gods. Many people go there for meditation too.
There are large number of monasteries in India itself, one of the precious holy monastery where Buddhist people go as a pilgrimage is in Bodhgaya.
Even in Sikkim, we have beautiful monasteries. The place where I stay is in Rumtek, there is also a beautiful monastery.

Tibetanisation of our textbook
|
|
By Kalsang Choedon, Class VIII, STS Dekyiling
|
|
|
|
For the past few years our textbooks are changed into Tibetan language. I think it is very good. It is easier to understand and learn. It preserves our language and culture. It improves our mother tongue and we can speak in Tibetan smoothly without mixing English or Hindi. It improves our vocabulary and diction. If we don't learn and give interest to our own language then who else will do it. It is our duty to learn and interact in our language. If we lose our language then we are also lost. I think all the people of Tibet should give more interest and importance to our language TIBETAN.

Importance of Education
|
|
By Tenzin Seldon, Class VII, STS Dekyiling
|
|
|
Education is needed to all the human beings. Without proper education, ones life is full of darkness and he or she will face a lot of problems. Many people are compelled to live under miserable condition because of their ignorance. Being illiterate, is a result of not having access to education, information and books. If one is not educated, he will face a lot of difficulties in finding works. In a way he becomes an unwanted man in the society and everybody will try to take advantage of his innocence.
We should know that the main aim of education is not to get good jobs or salary but to make a person, humble, understanding and humane. If a person is uneducated he may unknowingly let himself, his family or his nation cheated by others. Education can make a nation strong and prosperous. People who are educated can face problems in the life much better than an illiterate man can. They have a greater chance to be happy and commit far less less mistakes.
